Summer’s a great time to get out and enjoy the sunshine. There are a million things you can do to enjoy the weather and here at Green Smoke® e-vapor, we want everyone to have the most enjoyable summer they can possibly have.
Remember to put on sunscreen before you go out in the sun.
For me personally I love the outdoors. When the weather starts warming up, the first place you’ll find me is in the woods near my home. Now I’m not really a hardcore outdoors person, but I do love short hikes on clear trails. You may also want to go mountain biking or even bird-watching. What about horseback riding? All enjoyable activities that help you make the most out of summer. Get out there with a group of friends, the more people you have the more fun you’ll have. Remember to drink plenty of water and wear lightweight and light-colored clothing if you’re going to be in the sun. Don’t forget sunscreen.
Get Some Friends Together and have a BBQ
July 4th has come and gone but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still get together with friends and have a good time with good food. Pull out the burgers, steak and beer and prepare a midsummer night’s feast for you and your friends.
Go Canoeing or Fishing
As I mentioned before, I love the outdoors and a great way to experience them is on the water. Personally, I love calm water experiences the most. Try relaxing in a canoe, fishing and trying to catch a big one (and cooking it later), or simply splashing in the pool.
Tour a Local Winery
Most people aren’t aware of this, but taking a tour of a local winery can be a fascinating experience. Learning how they harvest the grapes, and do the pressing and the fermenting can be really appealing. Plus, most wineries will even let you sample their wines at the end of the tour. (Just make sure you have a designated driver.)
Visit a Local Historical Site
History is all around you. And it can be pretty cool to discover what the area you live in was like generations before you were born. For instance, when I was in high school, I lived in Pikesville, MD. Right behind our library was an old garrison. Two blocks east was a road called Seven Mile Lane. During the War of 1812, the British fleet invaded Baltimore via the Inner Harbor. Their shells had a range of seven miles. The United States military needed to keep their arms and weapons out of the firing range of the British. Seven Mile Lane was the edge of the British’s firing range and a few blocks away (where library and garrison are) was where the United States kept their weapons and ammunition.
As a side note my supermarket was on Seven Mile Lane. Pretty cool.
The point is there’s so much you can do this summer! So much you can learn and so much fun to be had! So get out there and enjoy the world that we live in!
